Coinciding with Lady Gaga's self-professed "period of silence," and as we go into rigorous revision and preparation of the Gaga Stigmata book for printing, Gaga Stigmata announces an official hiatus.
It's been over 2 years, 180 posts, 160+ critical essays, roundtable discussions, visual art, and creative written works produced as fast as the spirit of pop moves, 3 Stigmatavisions, press in every place from Salon.com to Yale's The American Scholar to enthusiastic tweets from Gaga's closest collaborators, countless sleepless nights, and boatloads of love and blood and blood and blood.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our intrepid Haus writers and our Creative Editor Sam Cohen, and especially to our loyal and enthusiastic readers.
Editors Kate Durbin and Meghan Vicks are still available for interviews or Gaga-related press inquiries via the Gaga Stigmata email, gagajournal@gmail.com. You may also contact us at kate_durbin@yahoo.com and meghan.vicks@gmail.com.
The journal will remain available with free access online for universities, scholars, and general readers.
Our book will be published in fall 2012. Announcements will be posted here, so stay tuned.
